a bit about Girish
He is a son of Gosto Chandra Patro(Carnatic Music Trainer for Singers and Musicians, Music Therapist & Ayurvedacharya) and Sujata Patro(Ghazal Lyricist) and also grandson of Late Bhakta Bachhala Patro (All India Radio Veena Player at Cuttack, Music Therapist, Aroma Therapist, Ayurvedacharya).
Since childhood, he has a passion for music performing on stage. He is a trained Tabla Player under the guidance of Raghunath Patro(Music Arranger at All India Radio Jeypore).For around 22 years, he did practice playing Tabla for 6 hours every day in the evening. He owns 7 years Dipoma in performing Tabla from Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi.
When he was studying engineering in Electronics & Instrumentation Branch, the evolution of audio technology intrigued him which further guided him to get a certification from Apple as an authorised Logic Pro 9 user in 2013 and successfully completed Music Production Engineering & Sound Design training program at Audiomedia, Chennai.
In 2013, he won Crowdsourcing Week’s Music Sore Competition which is his first achievement on an international platform. For more details please visit
He invested his money, earned from Crowdsourcing Week’s Music Sore Competition, to learn Sound Engineering. In 2014, he got a diploma in Sound Engineering & Sound Recording from Sound Engineering Academy, Trivandrum.
He is mentored by T.Selvakumar(Director at Audiomedia, Author of Sample Libraries at Yamaha, Authorised distributor of AMS Neve products), Didier Weiss(Acoustician, FOH Mix Engineer), Bobby Baskaran(Music Producer, Melbourne), Stephen Webber(Record Producer, New York), K T Fransis(FOH Mix Engineer for A R Rahman),Late John Anthony(Electric Guitarist for A R Rahman), K S Ravi(Retired Sound Engineer at Doordarshan, Mumbai), Deepak Sugathan(Instructor at Audiomedia & KMMC).
He has worked as a Trainee for 6 months and a Trainer for 1 year at Sound Enginnering Academy, Trivandrum.
He has trained more than 170 budding sound engineers, music performers, music educators at Sound Engineering Academy (Trivandrum), who are currently working at the Audio Industry in India and abroad.
He also worked as a Sound Engineer Assistant at Omgrown Music Studio (Mumbai) with Ram Sampath(Music Producer) who provide Music Production services to Ad Agencies and Film Production Companies.His work and workflow of each assigned task are appreciated, specially in Audio Editing.
He has a unique skills of Music Programming for lead acoustic instruments that sounds very natural. He has a keen sense & observation of Audio Post-production skills that fulfil international standard requirements.
